K Laser Therapy
The K-Laser Blue Derma is a multi-wavelength, multi-modality laser platform purpose-built for dermal and cosmetic clinical applications. Combining 445nm blue laser technology with 660nm and 970nm wavelengths, it delivers precision skin surgery, vascular and pigmented lesion removal, fractional resurfacing, acne treatment, and wound healing — all from a single, ultra-portable unit. SkinRehab is bringing the K-Laser Blue Derma to Port Macquarie — the next evolution in our regenerative and resurfacing capability.

Blue Laser Surgery & Photobiomodulation
The K-Laser Blue Derma uses 445nm blue laser technology — a wavelength with strong affinity for both haemoglobin and melanin, making it uniquely effective for vascular and pigmented conditions. Unlike traditional infrared lasers, the 445nm wavelength has minimal affinity for water, significantly reducing thermal damage to surrounding tissue. The result: precision surgical outcomes with minimal post-procedure inflammation, pain, and scarring.
Multi-Wavelength, Multi-Phase Delivery
The Blue Derma simultaneously emits up to three wavelengths — 445nm, 660nm, and 970nm — cycling automatically through treatment phases to optimise energy absorption for each specific application. For surgical applications, the high-energy 445nm blue laser ablates or coagulates tissue with precision. For therapeutic applications, photobiomodulation stimulates cellular repair, reduces inflammation, and accelerates tissue healing through mitochondrial activation and increased ATP production.
High-Intensity vs Low-Level Light
LED light therapy (photobiomodulation) operates at low power densities suitable for surface-level cellular stimulation. K-Laser Blue Derma is a Class IV high-intensity laser — it delivers significantly greater energy at precise wavelengths, enabling both surgical-level tissue ablation and deep therapeutic photobiomodulation. They are complementary, not interchangeable. LED remains the standard protocol enhancer; K-Laser opens up a new tier of precision clinical intervention.
Where It Fits Our Clinical Model
The K-Laser Blue Derma will integrate directly into our regenerative and resurfacing protocols — extending our capacity for benign lesion removal, vascular and pigmented lesion treatment, fractional resurfacing, acne management, and wound healing. For existing clients, this means less referral to external providers and more complete clinical care within the SkinRehab environment.
How K Laser Works at a Cellular Level
The K-Laser Blue Derma operates through two distinct but complementary mechanisms depending on the application — surgical ablation and photobiomodulation.
For surgical applications: The 445nm blue laser wavelength is highly energetic — approaching the strength of UV light — and has strong affinity for both haemoglobin and melanin. This allows precise coagulation of vascular structures and ablation of pigmented and raised lesions with minimal collateral thermal damage. Unlike infrared lasers, blue laser has minimal affinity for water, meaning surrounding tissue is largely unaffected.
For therapeutic applications: Photobiomodulation at 660nm and 970nm wavelengths stimulates mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase, increasing ATP production, reducing inflammatory mediators, promoting angiogenesis, enhancing collagen synthesis, and accelerating tissue repair. Clinical evidence demonstrates significant anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and wound-healing effects through these photochemical pathways.
The multi-phase delivery system automatically cycles through configurations during treatment, optimising energy absorption for each specific tissue type and clinical indication.
Less pain. Less downtime. Better healing.
Because the K-Laser blue wavelength generates minimal heat in surrounding tissue, most clients experience little to no post-treatment inflammation or pain — even after surgical-level procedures. Many people are surprised by how quickly they heal and how comfortable the process is compared to what they expected from a laser treatment.
More conditions treated. Fewer referrals needed.
Many skin concerns that currently require a referral to a dermatologist or specialist clinic — thread veins, skin tags, lesions, stubborn pigmentation, acne scarring — can be managed here at SkinRehab with the K-Laser. That means continuity of care, fewer appointments at separate providers, and treatment in an environment that already knows your full clinical picture.
It works alongside everything else we do.
K Laser doesn't sit in isolation — it integrates directly with your existing treatment protocols. Combined with EmCyte Pure® PRP, it amplifies regenerative outcomes. Combined with LED Light Therapy, it accelerates healing. Within your Metaskin® Clinical Skin Profile, it becomes another precision tool in a protocol designed specifically for you.
Precision targeting — healthy tissue stays healthy.
Unlike older laser technologies that can cause collateral damage to surrounding skin, the K-Laser blue wavelength is highly selective — targeting exactly what needs to be treated, and leaving the rest untouched. For conditions on the face, neck, or other sensitive areas, this precision matters enormously for outcomes and recovery.
Clinical-grade technology. Nurse-led care.
The K-Laser Blue Derma is the same technology used by dermatologists, skin cancer doctors, and aesthetic physicians across Australia. At SkinRehab, it will be delivered within a nurse-led, whole-person clinical framework — not as a standalone procedure, but as part of a considered, evidence-based treatment plan built around your skin health.
